Corgi M4A3 Sherman Repaint

Here’s a quick repaint I did of a Corgi die-cast Sherman. I airbrushed the camo with Vallejo Model Air, added some markings from Archer Fine Transfers and lightly weathered the running gear with some enamel and oil washes. Clearly this tank is named after my wife.

Warlord Sd.Kfz. 250

Most of my WWII “28mm” vehicles are 1/48, but I do have a few 1/56 German and American vehicles laying around that I’ve decided to use for Weird War II/pulp games. This is an older Bolt Action Sd. Kfz. 250 that I brush painted in Ambush Camouflage. The markings are from Archer Fine Transfers and a Japanese mech model.

Warlord 28mm French Char B1 Bis

I made a last minute change to my French list for this week’s Early War Bolt Action tournament, and decided to finish my Char B1 Bis. This was a very quick turnaround – about four hours not counting prep, priming and drying time. I brush painted it with Vallejo acrylics and weathered it with acrylic washes. The markings are from Warlord and I-94 Enterprises.

28mm WWII Early War French

In a few weeks I’ll be participating in a 650 point weekday Bolt Action tournament at Huzzah Hobbies, my FLGS. The theme is Early War and as I’ll be running my French I dug them out for a few photos, including my newly completed Motorized Infantry squad. The regular infantry and cavalry are from Crusader, the MMG Team, Somua S35 and 75mm are from Warlord, the Panhard P178 is from Army Group North and the Motorized Troops are from Battle Honors.

Bandai 1/48 Schwimmwagen – In Progress

I love the old Bandai 1/48 kits, however if you loose or are missing a part, you’re pretty much screwed. Case in point, the windshield for my Schwimmwagen was AWOL. My less than elegant solution was to create a folded, canvas covered windshield from styrene stock and Green Stuff. I’ll do some further shaping and sanding when it dries, and see how it paints up.
